Hi Grant - I just wanted to give you some feedback from both myself and my injury management advisor upon showing her your email. I'll start by saying the following feedback is definitely unique from my 6+ years of experience case managing claims and working with workplace rehabilitation providers. Firstly, I was impressed with your thinking and particularly with your attachment referencing the Stories/Narratives that we each develop and share with others. It made me reflect on the way that my story has changed over the years and what has lead me to who I am today., I like that you share this with the injured workers and the idea of engaging them to re-write their stories, particularly as many injured workers can be consumed with their stpory being that of injury rather than what the future holds beyond injury. I am impressed by your level of service and thinking outside of the square that you develop for each case to fully engage workers in the process and their sense of ownership that you are developing. Your methods of engagement, rapport building and tailored approach towards each worker whilst remaining focused on the legislative requirements is refreshing and I am certain will result in positive outcomes for all stakeholders. I look forward to see how everything develops! With regard to my injury management advisor's feedback, well in simple tems she felt like sending a copy of your email to other workplace rehabilitation providers we engage showing them how things can be done and the level of thinking that can be applied to engage workers and provide them with tools and strategies outside of standard job seeking application in promoting recovery and return to work. Just wanted to take the time to thank you for the feedback and strategies for each of my referrals so far and let you know I have noticed that your approach with each of them is very much tailored to their individuality. Success Story - Job Placement Program

Overview by Framework Group Case Manager Bianca Perkins

By way of background - Mr Adam Potter was referred to Framework to commence return to work activities.  Mr Potter had sustained a shoulder injury whilst working as a Furniture Removalist, and had been out of the workforce for approximately twelve months due to his injury.  It was determined that he could not return to his pre-injury employer due to his injury, thus Framework identified suitable vocations for Mr Potter and provided job seeking support to assist him achieve his return to work goal.

We canvassed for a work trial and found a local employer, Kalyx Australia, who were willing to accommodate him.  Mr Potter underwent a successful four week work trial which was sponsored by WorkCover and at the completion of the work trial the employer indicated interest in employing Mr Potter. Framework met with Kalyx and offered them the WorkCover JobCover Placement Program (JPP).  This program offers eligible employers financial incentives to employ workers who cannot return to work with their pre-injury employer.  Mr Potter commenced full time employment with Kalyx Australia as part of the JPP and at the end of the twelve month program he was offered a permanent position.

Comment from Sue McGregor, Director of Kalyx Australia Pty Ltd:

"I thought I would let you know that as of 5 minutes ago Adam Potter is employed as a full time permanent employee of Kalyx.  We have just offered him a job and he accepted.  How exciting!!!  A great success story for you and your program/business.

Adam has been an absolute delight from day 1.  No job was ever a chore, he has a great attitude and willingness to get the job done as well as a lot of personal pride as demonstrated by his presentation and his clean car!!  I hope you too have seen a personal growth in Adam as his confidence has improved along the way.

Cheers and thanks for the great recommendation."

Comment from Adam Potter:

"I wasn't sure how I would go about re-joining the workforce as I was not able to perform full duties. Framework were there to help me through the process and located the work trial for me. They helped me find a job that was suitable for me given my skills and limitations with my shoulder. I absolutely love my new job, they're a really nice group of people to work with."
